Join us on Saturday, September 12 for the Champions Run for Heroes, featuring a 5K, 10K, and ½-Mile Kids Run at The Lodge at the Evergreen Aviation Museum.
Held in remembrance of the anniversary of September 11, this meaningful community event honors the lives forever changed by the events of 9/11 while paying tribute to the everyday heroes who continue to serve and protect our communities.
Throughout the day, we will recognize the extraordinary dedication, courage, and sacrifice of our local Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs, Paramedics, 911 Dispatchers, Search & Rescue teams, and other first responders who answer the call whenever their community needs them most. Their commitment reminds us that heroism isn't confined to history—it's demonstrated every day through acts of service, compassion, and selflessness.
Whether you're an experienced runner chasing a personal best, walking alongside family and friends, or cheering participants on from the sidelines, your presence helps show appreciation for those who put others before themselves. The Champions Run for Heroes is more than a race—it's an opportunity to come together as a community, reflect, remember, and celebrate the people who make our neighborhoods safer and stronger.
Bring your family, invite your friends, and help us create a morning filled with remembrance, gratitude, and community spirit.
